After taking over the practice from Dr Terry Potts in 2018, we made a commitment to continue helping the local community in and around Byron.
We are committed to providing our patients with high quality, gentle dental care, in a pleasant and comfortable environment. Our dentists take pride in using the latest technology and methods to develop patient specific solutions and treatment.
We work with our patients to develop affordable treatment plans they are comfortable with, including treatment plan estimates prior to beginning any procedures.

Dr Josh Boag – Dentist
Josh grew up in the Northern Rivers and has always considered this region home.
Before dentistry, Josh completed a degree in pharmacy, completing both of his degrees here locally at Griffith University.
After graduating, he worked in Sydney alongside experienced dentists in a busy practice in the Western Suburbs, gaining broad experience across general, surgical, and restorative dentistry.
In 2018, Josh returned home to the Northern Rivers and took over Byron Family Dental.
Since then, he’s focused on building a practice that combines high-quality clinical care with the relaxed, personal experience you’d expect from a local practice. Josh continues to build on his knowledge and capability to care for our local community including additional training in dental implants.
He’s also passionate about making sure the practice is innovative, and has invested in modern technology and equipment, bringing the benefits of more advanced dentistry into a small, local practice.
Outside the practice, you’ll usually find Josh making the most of life in Byron Bay with his wife Emma, and their 3 kids. You’ll probably run into him down at Clarke’s beach wrangling the kids, or in the surf over at Broken.
